Are you a talented and versatile Copywriter with a flair for crafting captivating content that engages readers and helps small businesses grow online? We are seeking an experienced Copywriter to join our dynamic digital marketing agency, specializing in serving service-based small businesses.
In this role, you will craft compelling stories and advertisements for our clients, blending their brand voices with persuasive copywriting skills that speak to customers and drive action.
 
We are looking for a creative copywriter who can write for various digital mediums, including:
  • Websites
  • SEO pages
  • Blog posts
  • Ad landing pages
  • Ad copy
  • Social media posts
  • Emails
 
In addition, you will learn and practice SEO copywriting to incorporate keywords and create comprehensive content that can rank online. Conducting keyword research and seamlessly integrating relevant keywords into your writing will be crucial in ensuring our clients’ content can be easily discovered by their target audience.
 
Collaborating closely with our team of marketing experts, you will develop innovative content strategies, pick topics, refine messaging, edit content, and deliver impactful copy across various platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years experience preferred as a professional copywriter
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Degree in English, Rhetoric, Communication, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working within WordPress and other website platforms to upload copy
  • Experience writing for local, service-based, small businesses preferred & represented in a portfolio
  • Strong understanding of search engine optimization and keyword research
  • Ability to create comprehensive content that satisfies a user’s journey
  • Understanding of StoryBrand Principles ideal
  • Develop and embody the necessary tone, brand persona, and business goals for dozens of small business clients
  • Write for various audiences while thinking critically about their needs
  • Ability to write and adapt copy across various platforms (web, social media, email, ads, etc.)
  • Strong ability to write persuasively to get readers to take action
  • Create dynamic, engaging, and grammatically correct sentences
  • Craft compelling narratives that drive engagement and action

Responsibilities

SEO Copywriting

  • Write high-quality content for websites, blogs, landing pages, and other digital assets, ensuring it is engaging, informative, and optimized for search engines.
  • Perform thorough keyword research to identify relevant keywords and incorporate them strategically into the copy to improve organic search visibility.
  • Maintain brand consistency and cohesiveness while integrating SEO best practices into the copy.
  • Leverage SEO tools to assist in on-page copy optimization, including meta tags, headings, and keyword placement.

Website Copywriting

  • Write copy for website projects that can span 4-10+ pages.
  • Capture a small business’ brand, story, and goals and write consistent copy across the entire website.
  • Collaborate with the Web Design team to develop content strategies that create a seamless and user-friendly online experience.

Other Copywriting

  • Craft compelling and persuasive copy for various marketing channels, including email marketing campaigns, social media posts, landing pages, ad copies, podcast scripts, infographics, and more.
  • Adapt writing style and tone to suit different mediums and target audiences, ensuring the messaging aligns with the overall brand voice and marketing objectives.

Content Strategy & Topic Selection

  • Collaborate with web designers, SEO specialists, Ad specialists, and account management to plan, develop, and execute content creation strategies for each client.
  • Conduct research to identify content opportunities, trends, and industry insights that can be leveraged to create valuable and engaging content.
  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO and content marketing trends, strategies, and best practices to continuously optimize content effectiveness.
  • Assign topics to other writers when necessary, including a pool of freelance writers.

Editing

  • Edit and proofread other copy, ensuring it aligns with the client’s brand guidelines, SEO requirements, and the appropriate digital medium.
  • Ensure the copy is free from grammatical errors, maintains a consistent style, and effectively communicates the desired message.

Collaboration With The Team

  • Work closely with the Succeeding Small team to ensure all messaging aligns with the client’s brand and purpose.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute creative ideas, and provide valuable insights to enhance the overall marketing strategies and campaigns.
By fulfilling these responsibilities, the SEO Copywriter will enhance clients’ online presence, drive organic traffic, and ultimately help small businesses succeed in the digital landscape.
